Medicine is a chemical substance that changes or affects the body’s management. There are two types of drugs, legal and illegal. Illegal drugs used in health care and prescribed by a doctor are legal drugs, while those used in cigarettes, alcohol and other substances and cannot be bought in stores are illegal drugs.

People use drugs for various reasons. Some use it to stay away from personal problems or to get rid of annoyances, while others use it to get a better experience out of curiosity. People use it to show their different identities in the group, to increase their attraction towards themselves or to show that they are rebellious in the society.

Drug users come from a variety of backgrounds. They can be men or women, young or old, rich or poor, employed or unemployed, urban or rural. Anyone has been found to be affected by drugs.

Marijuana is often used in cigarette butts and is sold in brown lumps. Amphetamines and ecstasy are often sold in tablets and are easily swallowed in beverages. Cocaine, which is available in white or gray powder, is inhaled through the nose and heroin is often injected. Different types of drugs have different effects on the body. Also, its effects can be different in different people. In general, marijuana gives extreme pleasure in the beginning. It gives a feeling of ringing, lightness and comfortable bliss. Amphetamines also help a person to increase their strength and use them to stay up late and to do a lot of work or dance. Cocaine makes the user feel very happy and excited about the initial use. But it makes the user forget that he is hungry and tired. Although these effects may seem good, they do not last long. Most people begin to experience depression and loneliness and later become ill. People who use drugs also have the same risk of getting confused, red eyes, sweating a lot and not taking care of their health as well as getting addicted to it. Drugs also have other physical effects. For example, marijuana cigarettes contain more chemicals than regular cigarettes, making them more likely to cause lung cancer and other respiratory diseases. People who inhale cocaine through the nose can have problems affecting the nasal glands. People who use injectable drugs can get various infections such as HIV and hepatitis. In addition, drug users can develop various other health problems such as malnutrition, menstrual problems and heart related diseases. Studies have shown that people who smoke and drink alcohol at a young age are more at risk of using illegal drugs than those who do not. Therefore, young people and adolescents should stay away from these substances.
